New features in the Contract Module - June 2025 đź’Ś

We’re introducing several improvements to the Contract module to make it easier to keep track of key commitments and ensure follow-through on the terms you've agreed upon. With this update, you can now track obligations directly on contracts, create new contracts faster using a quick create option, and link key stakeholders via a new contacts tab.

Contract Obligations

You can now create obligations directly on your contracts — making it easier to track and follow up on critical contractual commitments.

With this new feature, you can:

          🔍 Define specific obligations associated with each contract

          👤 Assign a responsible person to ensure accountability

          🗓️ Set due dates and track the status of each obligation

          đź“‹ Get a clear overview of what needs to be done — and by when

Whether it’s a recurring obligation, a reporting requirement, a renewal date, or a service-level commitment, the Obligations feature helps you turn contract terms into concrete, manageable tasks.

Create obligations on the contract 

You’ll find a new “Obligations” tab on every contract, where you can start adding obligations right away. Click "Add obligation" to enter key details such as title, description, subtasks, deadline, and recurrence.

Once created, the obligation will appear in the obligations list on the contract, giving you a real-time overview of all commitments and their current status.

Every obligation is automatically linked to a task within the Task Management board. For recurring obligations, a separate task will be created for each occurrence. This allows you to manage each instance individually — ensuring that recurring responsibilities are tracked just as reliably as one-off tasks.

From the overflow menu on the obligation, you can click “View in task management” to go directly to the corresponding task in the board view.

If you'd like to see all obligation-related tasks across contracts, go to Task Management > Tasks in the main menu and apply the “Type” filter set to “Obligation”.

Get started with obligations today

You will need the Obligations add-on in order to get access to the feature. If you’re an existing customer, you can get started right away by going to My Account > See your plan > Step 2: Add-ons

Quick Create – Add New Contracts in Seconds

We’ve made it easier to create new contracts with the new Quick Create option in the main menu.

This allows you to:

  • Start a new contract from anywhere in the platform

  • Enter just the basic information to get started

Perfect for fast-paced workflows or when you just need to register a contract on the fly.

Contacts Tab – Link Key People to Contracts

A new Contacts tab is now available on every contract, giving you a clear and structured way to add both internal and external stakeholders. This makes it easier to see who’s responsible or involved in each agreement and helps improve collaboration and oversight across teams.

When adding contacts to a contract, you can choose from the contacts already linked to the involved legal entities — whether it's an internal contract party or an external counterparty. If the contact you're looking for doesn't appear in the list when clicking “Add existing contact”, simply go to the relevant legal entity and add the contact there. Once added, the contact will automatically become available for selection.
