With usage-based pricing now live, we've built an administration page where admins can activate the add-on, set a monthly spending limit, and track usage across the organisation.
We're introducing usage-based pricing alongside a new set of admin controls that put you in charge of how much your organisation spends on AI each month.
Now that billing is live, you decide how much your organisation spends on AI each month. Set a monthly spending limit, and if you reach it, AI features pause automatically until the month resets or you increase the limit. You'll only ever be charged for what you actually use.
You'll be notified before your limit runs out, so you can increase it if needed. If you don't act, AI features will simply pause for the rest of the month.
From Settings > AI Administration you can track your current month's usage in real time and see exactly how your spend breaks down across the different AI features. Adjust your limit at any time as your needs change.

To get started, an admin needs to activate the AI Features add-on. Go to Settings > AI Administration and click "Activate AI Features" in the top banner. This takes you to the plan page, where you'll find the add-on listed under step 2. Once activated, you can set your monthly spending limit directly from the same settings page.
If you've already activated the add-on, you can set a spending limit right away. If no limit has been set yet, AI features will remain locked until it has been set.
When you activate AI Features, you'll receive €10 in free usage to get started. The amount applies across months until it runs out, so you can take your time exploring what the features can do.
All AI processing in .legal is handled by a European AI provider. Your data is never used for AI training and is not stored by our AI provider. AI features can be disabled at any time, and as always, we recommend verifying AI-generated outputs before use.
