We've been listening to your feedback, and we're excited to share the improvements we've made to our platform. This release focuses heavily on our Contract Management module, where we've addressed many of the suggestions you've shared with us. From streamlined workflows to enhanced functionality, these updates are designed to make your compliance processes more efficient and intuitive.
All Contract Information in One Place
We've added a new "All Contract Data" tab at the top of each contract page, giving you instant access to comprehensive contract information without entering edit mode. This overview displays all contract details within your template. Whether you need to quickly check renewal dates, review party information, or verify contract values, everything's now visible at a glance. It's particularly useful for team members who need contract visibility but don't require editing permissions, streamlining workflows and reducing the need to navigate through multiple sections.
Create Contract from Legal Entity
You can now generate contracts directly from any legal entity page, streamlining the contract creation process. Navigate to the legal entity's "Contracts" tab and click "Create Contract," then enter the contract name and select the appropriate template. The new contract appears immediately in the entity's contract list, with the legal entity automatically assigned as the counterparty. Once created, you can access the contract to add additional details, terms, and obligations.
Role Management: Only Access to Contract Overview
We've introduced a new permission level that allows users to view the contract overview without accessing individual contract details. This role is perfect for team members who need visibility of contract portfolios but don't require full contract access. Users can still gather valuable information through the overview's filtering system, searching and sorting contracts by various criteria. However, they cannot edit contracts or view the contract documents. This creates a secure middle ground between full contract access and no access at all, ideal for managers, auditors, or stakeholders who need oversight without operational involvement.
Relative Dates on Obligations
Set obligations that automatically adjust based on contract start and end dates, ensuring deadlines remain accurate throughout the contract lifecycle. Create dynamic obligations like "30 days before end date" or "2 months after start date" that update automatically when contract dates change. This eliminates the need to manually recalculate deadlines when contracts are amended or extended, reducing administrative overhead and preventing missed obligations.
Task Tab on Contracts
Add both one-off tasks and link existing tasks directly to any contract through the new dedicated task tab. Create ad-hoc tasks for activities that aren't formal contract obligations, such as internal reviews, stakeholder meetings, or administrative follow-ups. You can also connect existing tasks from your broader project management to specific contracts, creating clear visibility of all contract-related work in one place.
This separation between formal contractual obligations and general task management gives you flexibility to track everything associated with an agreement whilst maintaining the distinction between what's legally required and what's operationally helpful.
Change Contract Template on Created Contract
Switch templates even after contract creation. When selecting a new template, be aware that data may become hidden if the new template doesn't include the same fields as your current one. However, no information is permanently lost - simply switch back to the previous template to recover any hidden data.
Contract Names on Obligations in Task Management and Annual Wheel
See which contracts your obligations relate to across task management and the annual wheel. Obligation cards in both task management and the annual wheel now display the related contract name as a clickable link, providing instant access to the full agreement details. In the list view within the annual wheel, we have introduced a new column named "Contracts" for quick reference to the contract.
We have also added a new filter named "Contracts" to task management and the annual wheel. Filter tasks/activities by specific contracts and get clear visibility of tasks associated to a particular contract.
Export Contract Lists with Custom Edits (Custom List Add-on)
Export tailored contract reports to Excel directly from the contract overview, configured to your exact requirements. Use the comprehensive filter options to narrow down contracts by any criteria, then customise column display and ordering to match your reporting needs.
Whether you need simplified summaries for board presentations, detailed compliance reports for audits, or stakeholder updates with specific data points, the flexible export system adapts to your workflow. This eliminates manual report compilation and ensures consistent, professional outputs that can be easily shared or integrated into broader business reporting processes.
General Platform Update: Visual Indicator for Written Notes
We've enhanced the note feature across the platform with a simple visual indicator. Whenever you see a note icon, it now displays a green circle if a note has been written, so you can instantly identify where notes exist without clicking through each icon. This small but valuable improvement saves time when scanning through contracts, audits, or other entities, helping you quickly locate notes without unnecessary clicks.
Automatic Security Measures from Systems to Processing Activities
When you add a system to a processing activity, its associated security measures automatically appear on the processing activity. These inherited measures display with a different colour tag, which makes it easy to distinguish between measures directly assigned to the processing activity and those inherited from connected systems. This automation reduces manual data entry whilst maintaining clear visibility of security measure sources, ensuring comprehensive security documentation without duplicated effort.
Framework Controls Clearly Displayed on Tasks
Lastly, we have updated tasks to show related frameworks and controls more prominently. Each task now clearly indicates which framework it belongs to, with expandable sections showing the associated controls underneath. The controls appear as clickable links that take you directly to the detailed control information. This improved structure makes it easier to understand the compliance context of each task and navigate between related elements without losing track of the broader framework requirements.
