As we approach the end of the year, we wanted to thank you for your continued feedback and support. From us to you, this December release is our gift to you, packed with features you've been asking for. We've been listening carefully to what you need, and we're delighted to deliver improvements that will make your daily work more efficient. From choosing your own homepage to quicker contract searches.
Choose Your Homepage
You can now customise which page appears when you log in, making it quicker to access your most-used workflows.
To set your homepage, click on "My Account" in the top right corner and select "Set Homepage". You'll see a list of all menu items you have access to. Simply choose your preferred page and click "Save". Your selection will be remembered the next time you log in.
Administrators can also set a user's homepage when creating new users. If no homepage is specified, the dashboard will be used by default.
Quick Search on Contracts
We've listened to your feedback and added a quick search function to the contract module, making it faster and easier to find what you need.
The new search bar allows you to instantly search across contract IDs, contract titles, contract parties and contract managers. Simply start typing and relevant results will appear immediately, saving you time when you need to locate specific contracts.
This quick search sits alongside your existing filter options, so you can use whichever method works best for your needs. The advanced filters remain available as before, giving you the flexibility to perform detailed searches when required, or use the quick search for faster access.
Copy a Contract
Duplicate existing contracts with a single click. This saves time when creating similar agreements and ensures consistency across your documents.
To copy a contract, find it in the contract overview and click the overflow menu (the three green dots), then select "Copy". This creates a new contract with all the master data from the original.
Please note: documents, obligations and tasks are not copied, only the master contract information.
Extended Deadline Options for Annual Wheel Activities & Obligations
You can now set annual wheel activities and obligation deadlines as far into the future as needed. Previously, deadlines were limited to one year in advance, but this restriction has been removed.
When you create an activity or an obligation with a start date more than two years away, only one task will appear initially. For recurring obligations, additional tasks are automatically generated as each deadline approaches.
Contract Parties on Obligations
Contract parties now appear directly on obligation tasks, making it easier to see who's involved without having to open the full contract.
You'll find the contract parties listed under the "Contract" section of each obligation task. The list can be expanded or collapsed depending on how much detail you need. Each party name appears as a clickable link, taking you directly to their detailed information.
This update helps you quickly identify stakeholders and access their details whilst working through your obligation tasks.
Obligation Tasks Now Appear in the Contract Tasks Tab
All tasks generated from obligations now appear directly in the tasks tab on each contract, giving you a complete overview of both obligation-based tasks and ad hoc tasks in one place.
We've added a new column called "Task Structure" that shows whether each task originates from an obligation or was created manually. This makes it easy to distinguish between different task types at a glance.
Since this may display a large number of tasks, we recommend using the filters to narrow down your view. For example, you can use the Deadline filter to show only tasks due "Year to Date" or "This Month", helping you focus on what's most relevant right now.
Set a Default View for Your Organisation on Contracts
Administrators can now create and set a custom default view for the entire organisation in the contract module, ensuring all users start with a consistent layout that matches your team's workflows.
When you set an organisation default view, it automatically applies to all users who haven't chosen their own personal view. This is particularly useful for standardising how your team sees and interacts with contract information, whilst still allowing individuals to personalise their experience if needed.
To set an organisation default view, navigate to "Saved views" in the contract module and select the view you want to set as the organisation default or simply click "Create new view". Only global views can be selected for this purpose. Once saved, the standard .legal view will be replaced by your customised version for all users in the organisation.
Users who prefer a different layout can override this at any time by setting their own personal default view. They will still have access to the organisation default view under "Saved views". The view is marked by an icon and the hover text: "Default view for the organisation".
